Why self-publishing?
A decade ago, my first book was published: The Seventh. It had been my lifelong dream to be an author! Finally getting a novel published made something click for me: I knew this was what I would spend the rest of my life doing - if I could just make that happen.
Spoiler: I made it happen! 10 years and 18 books later, I’m a full time author, writing books for adults, teens and kids. My books are a mix of traditionally published through Big 5, small presses and medium-sized publishers, and I've even self-published several books. Nowadays, I'm an award-winning author who mentors aspiring authors to help them achieve their publication dreams.
In 2024, the rights for my first book (in fact, the entire 3-book series) reverted to me. I've grown as a writer and as a human since I wrote those books, so this was my chance to make my first books really shine!
I'm bringing it to new readers as an established author with 10 years of skill and experience to my name. This is a passion project! I've worked with a professional editor, proofreader and cover designers to turn my beloved trilogy into something creatively and visually amazing! And because traditional publishers don't generally work with previously published books, I'm doing it independently.

About the Kickstarter
In July 2024, I ran a successful Kickstarter to make my vision for Ghostling come to life. Kickstarter is like crowd-funding, but with rewards for the pledgers, and it allowed me to create an advance edition with all the bells and whistles.
I had a vision for a visually stunning book with a mystical mandala on the back and a vibrant title in silver-white: GHOSTLING. That vision is now a reality and my backers have received their special edition early copies, as well as loads of lovely merch!
The book is therefore dedicated to my supporters. Thanks for bringing this passion project to life!
Future Plans
Yes, there will be a second Kickstarter! In October 2025, I intend to release all three special hardcover editions with a special series box to keep them in, as well as more merch including a "Sir Percival" bat plushie! Subscribe to my newsletter to stay informed.
